But the downsides of this wallet are that many phishing sites mimicking MyEtherWallet have sprung up, which has resulted in the loss of funds for many ETH investors.
To start with, you can set your password, which will give you a UTC/JASON file that will keep your private keys encrypted and thus, you will remain in complete control of your funds.
Suggestion: Keep this password hard to guess or brute-force because anyone with this password can create the same type of file to hack your funds.
